Now hiring: we are hiring a die-casting operator in Umu-Nneochi, Abia State. What we are looking for: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Basic grinding and fettling skills Day-to-day duties: • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects 4+ years on the tools preferred.
