Steel fixer wanted in Kimble County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a steel fixer in Kimble County, Texas. The job is at a precast concrete yard. You will lap and splice bars to the specified lap length; lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman; keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust; cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder; set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift; bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine. Ideal candidate: • Able to read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites • Valid site safety card and PPE (helmet, boots, gloves) Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. $4,500 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
