We are recruiting: we are hiring an excavator operator in Thurston County, Washington. The job is at a road-building project. On a typical shift you will excavate trenches and foundations to the marked depths and grade levels; level and grade the road sub-base to the surveyor's pegs and string lines; break rock and concrete with the hydraulic breaker attachment; load trucks with spoil, aggregate and overburden using the bucket; top up diesel, inspect hydraulic hoses for leaks and report defects; check for underground cables and services before digging. What we are looking for: • Understanding of safe digging near underground services • Valid heavy equipment / plant operator licence At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
