Urgent requirement: MIG/MAG welder (New York)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a MIG/MAG welder in Jefferson County, New York. You will work in a heavy engineering unit. Day to day you will clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead; lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints; tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing; change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch; check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration; maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose. You should have: • Able to pass a 3G/4G plate test • 2+ years on MIG/MAG (GMAW) welding • Willing to work shifts and overtime 6+ years on the tools preferred. Rotating shifts.
