Join our team: we are hiring a furnace operator in Benton County, Mississippi. The role involves: • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture What we are looking for: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry 6+ years on the tools preferred.
