Now hiring: we are hiring a retail butcher in Wells County, North Dakota. You will work in a supermarket meat department. Day-to-day duties: • Portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights • Run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone • Weigh, price and label cuts for the display case • Break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts • Trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts • Sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone Requirements: • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry • 2+ years experience working as a butcher Part-time with flexible hours.
