Sand plant operator wanted in Botetourt County

Join our team: we are hiring a sand plant operator in Botetourt County, Virginia. You will work at a busy iron foundry. The role involves shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles. Requirements: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal Rotating shifts. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. $31 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
