On a typical shift you will estimate repair costs and order the right parts; service and replace timing belts and chains; replace brake pads, discs and callipers; replace exhaust systems and catalytic converters. You should have: • Comfortable working in inspection pits and on ramps • Sound knowledge of petrol and diesel engines • Able to read wiring diagrams and workshop manuals Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
