Immediate opening: argon arc welder (Virginia)

Now hiring: we are hiring an argon arc welder in Wise County, Virginia. The job is at a pipe-fitting and pressure-vessel shop. Day-to-day duties: • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut Requirements: • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • Able to pass a weld test on the spot Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
