Domestic gas engineer — City and Borough of Birmingham

Now hiring: we are hiring a domestic gas engineer in City and Borough of Birmingham, England. The job is at a busy gas installation company. You will complete gas safety certificates and label the finished installation; set and adjust regulator outlet pressure with a gauge; install gas meters, regulators and isolation valves; purge air from the lines and commission appliances to the correct gas rate; lay and route steel and copper gas pipe runs to the appliance points; run polyethylene (PE) service pipe and electrofusion-weld the joints. Requirements: • Able to read isometric and site drawings • Valid gas fitter's licence and Gas Safe (or local) registration 4+ years on the tools preferred. Pay around £3,000 per month, based on your experience. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
