MIG welder — Municipal Area Council

We are recruiting: we are hiring a MIG welder in Municipal Area Council, Federal Capital Territory. You will work at a pipe and tank fabrication yard. Day to day you will control distortion with a balanced welding sequence; set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness; clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead; bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding; read fabrication drawings and weld symbols; load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls. You should have: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Comfortable welding mild steel, stainless and aluminium Part-time with flexible hours. Overtime paid at a premium rate.
