Trainee butcher wanted in Lewis County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a trainee butcher in Lewis County, New York. The job is in a meat processing plant. You will dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date; take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking; debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife; stuff and link fresh sausages with casings; portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights. What we are looking for: • Comfortable working in cold rooms and chillers • Quick and accurate on the weighing scales and order maths • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required 4+ years on the tools preferred.
