Now hiring: we are hiring a tig welder in Jefferson County, Colorado. Day to day you will set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal; feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding; strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode; set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator; carry out 6G pipe welds where required. Requirements: • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
