Immediate opening: we are hiring an occupational health and safety officer in Stephens County, Texas. The job is at a manufacturing plant. Your main tasks: • Run the permit-to-work system for hot work and confined-space entry • Take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry • Record accident statistics and keep the safety logbook up to date • Stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action Ideal candidate: • Confident enough to halt unsafe work on the spot • Sound knowledge of local OSH and factory act regulations 5+ years on the tools preferred.
