Vacancy available: metal caster (Northern Ireland)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a metal caster in City of Belfast, Northern Ireland. Your main tasks: • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities Requirements: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding 1+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time with occasional weekends. We offer £3,150 per month plus benefits. Contact us to fix an interview.
