Banksman wanted in Floyd County

Join our team: we are hiring a banksman in Floyd County, Indiana. You will work at a container port. Requirements: • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces On the job you will handle: • Rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks • Coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller • Tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear • Read lift plans and method statements before starting • Guide loads through tight openings into their final position Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
