Steel erection rigger • Shomolu, Lagos State

Now hiring: we are hiring a steel erection rigger in Shomolu, Lagos State. The job is at a shipyard. Day-to-day duties: • Check sling angles to stay within the working load limit • Guide loads through tight openings into their final position • Coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller • Secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists • Fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift You should have: • Proven experience as a rigger on construction or industrial sites • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness Overtime paid at a premium rate. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
