Sheet metal welder • North Ayrshire, Scotland

Immediate opening: we are hiring a sheet metal welder in North Ayrshire, Scotland. You will work on a structural steel site. Day-to-day duties: • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut Ideal candidate: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Able to pass a weld test on the spot Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
