Commis chef wanted in Hertfordshire

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a commis chef in Hertfordshire, England. The job is at a busy restaurant kitchen. Ideal candidate: • Good teamwork and clear communication under pressure • 2+ years' experience as a cook in a busy kitchen • Food hygiene / FoSTaC certificate Day to day you will monitor food temperatures and run regular HACCP checks; check deliveries and rotate stock using FIFO; cook dishes to order on the grill, fry and sauté stations; prepare stocks, sauces and soups from scratch; knead dough and bake breads such as roti, naan and paratha; plate and garnish dishes for a quick pass to service. Part-time with flexible hours. Performance bonus on top of base pay. We offer £140 per day plus benefits. Contact us to fix an interview.
