Argon welding operator • Marion County, Illinois

Urgent requirement: we are hiring an argon welding operator in Marion County, Illinois. Day to day you will read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing; set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks; TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer; clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding; run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise. Requirements: • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage Part-time with flexible hours. Performance bonus on top of base pay.
