Immediate opening: fettler (Georgia)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a fettler in Newton County, Georgia. You will work in a non-ferrous casting shop. Ideal candidate: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry On the job you will handle: • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
