Urgent requirement: we are hiring an argon welder in Oceana County, Michigan. The job is on an industrial construction site. The role involves control heat input so thin sheet does not warp; feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle; set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal; set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator; weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions; prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run. Requirements: • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection Full-time, day shift.
