Urgent requirement: we are hiring a MIG/MAG welder in Mecklenburg County, Virginia. Day-to-day duties: • Grind back and re-weld any defective runs • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration • Control distortion with a balanced welding sequence • Read fabrication drawings and weld symbols • Clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead • Load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls Ideal candidate: • Comfortable welding mild steel, stainless and aluminium • Able to pass a 3G/4G plate test • Willing to work shifts and overtime $220 per day, negotiable for the right hands.
