Now hiring: we are hiring a sand plant operator in Scott County, Indiana. Ideal candidate: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling The role involves melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring. 1+ years on the tools preferred.
