Safety officer wanted in Sharkey County

Join our team: we are hiring a safety officer in Sharkey County, Mississippi. You will be based on a high-rise building project. You should have: • Minimum 2-3 years on construction or factory sites • Sound knowledge of local OSH and factory act regulations • Confident enough to halt unsafe work on the spot Day to day you will ensure MSDS/SDS sheets are on hand for every chemical on site; run the permit-to-work system for hot work and confined-space entry; inspect scaffolding, full-body harnesses and lifelines for work at height; enforce lockout-tagout (LOTO) on energised and rotating equipment; investigate near-misses and incidents and file root-cause reports; conduct job hazard analysis (JHA) on every new task.
