Now hiring: we are hiring a horizontal milling machine operator in Gilliam County, Oregon. The job is at a fabrication and machining plant. On the job you will handle: • Read engineering drawings and GD&T to plan the machining sequence • Hold close tolerances down to ±0.02 mm • Apply cutting coolant and clear swarf from the machine bed • Mount workpieces in machine vices, clamps and fixtures and check for square • Run first-off parts and check dimensions before batch production Ideal candidate: • 2-3 years' hands-on milling experience • Able to grind and set HSS cutters Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Full-time with occasional weekends. Overtime paid at a premium rate. We offer $25 per hour plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
