Ideal candidate: • Own hand tools an advantage • Good eye for joints, levels and overall finish The role involves: • Restore old marble by honing, crystallising and buffing back to finish • Shape edges, bullnoses and bevels with an angle grinder and profiling wheels • Work from cutting lists and installation drawings • Polish stone surfaces to a high gloss using diamond pads and polishing compound • Seal natural stone against staining with impregnating sealers • Grind and hone uneven floors flat before the final polish Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
