Join our team: we are hiring a hand presser in Lee County, Mississippi. The role involves keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure; shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board; clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents; fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press; use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics; set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics. Requirements: • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases 5+ years on the tools preferred. We offer $4,700 per month plus benefits.
