Urgent requirement: we are hiring a sheet metal welder in Greene County, New York. You will be based in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. What we are looking for: • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination • Able to pass a weld test on the spot The role involves: • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • Keep the arc length and travel speed consistent • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush At least 6 year(s) in a similar role. $2,800 per month, negotiable for the right hands. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
