Steel fixing chargehand — Oruk Anam

Now hiring: we are hiring a steel fixing chargehand in Oruk Anam, Akwa Ibom State. You will be based on a commercial tower construction site. On a typical shift you will set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift; keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust; check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour; fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings; bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine; assemble column and beam cages on the bench. Ideal candidate: • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
