Join our team: we are hiring a retail butcher in Rapides Parish, Louisiana. You will work at a wholesale meat market. Requirements: • Able to use a band saw, grinder and sausage filler • Comfortable working in cold rooms and chillers The role involves: • Stuff and link fresh sausages with casings • Monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain • Run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone • Sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone • Debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife Full-time, day shift.
