Steel fixer • Sumter County, Florida

Now hiring: we are hiring a steel fixer in Sumter County, Florida. You will work on a busy residential building site. Day-to-day duties: • Read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat • Fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings • Assemble column and beam cages on the bench • Lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman • Lap and splice bars to the specified lap length You should have: • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements • Valid site safety card and PPE (helmet, boots, gloves) • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. Meals and transport allowance provided. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
