Urgent requirement: stainless steel welder (Illinois)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in McLean County, Illinois. The job is at a busy fabrication workshop. On the job you will handle: • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Keep the arc length and travel speed consistent • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel You should have: • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage 2+ years on the tools preferred. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Six days a week, one day off. Contact us to fix an interview.
