Vacancy available: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Modoc County, California. The job is in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. Ideal candidate: • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination On a typical shift you will back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise; grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish; select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel; run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec; feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool; read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing.
