Immediate opening: we are hiring a tile roofer in Butler County, Iowa. You will be based at a roofing and cladding contractor. Requirements: • Able to read roof pitch and set the falls • Own hand tools (hammer, nail gun, slate ripper) • Strong enough to lift tile packs and felt rolls all day Day-to-day duties: • Carry out leak inspections and patch repairs • Seal joints and penetrations with mastic and lead flashing • Erect and dismantle roof edge protection and scaffolding • Replace cracked or slipped tiles and slates • Install metal flashing around chimneys and skylights Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
