Acoustic insulation fitter wanted in Shelby County

Vacancy available: we are hiring an acoustic insulation fitter in Shelby County, Illinois. The job is at a cold storage facility. What we are looking for: • Sharp eye for sealing joints and avoiding thermal bridges • Own basic hand tools such as a utility knife and trowel • Comfortable working at height and off scaffolding Day to day you will install vapour barriers and seal all joints and overlaps with tape; fix XPS and EPS boards to external walls with adhesive and mechanical anchors; seal gaps around windows, doors and service penetrations with sealant; work to drawings, hitting the specified U-values and insulation thickness; carry out flood and water tests on waterproofed areas to check for leaks; prep, clean and prime substrates before membrane application. Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. Full-time with occasional weekends. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. $24 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
