Immediate opening: we are hiring a panel welder in Santa Clara County, California. The job is at an automobile body shop. The role involves: • Tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing • Set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness • Control distortion with a balanced welding sequence • Maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose You should have: • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently • Able to pass a 3G/4G plate test At least 3 year(s) in a similar role. Pay around $5,200 per month, based on your experience. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
