Great opportunity: garment machinist (Iowa)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a garment machinist in Jackson County, Iowa. The job is in a sampling and tailoring workshop. Day-to-day duties: • Press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges • Change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation • Match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers • Meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality • Trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go What we are looking for: • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines Six days a week, one day off. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. We offer $4,100 per month plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
