Your main tasks: • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio • Rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position • Read lift plans and method statements before starting • Take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings • Establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area Requirements: • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles 6+ years on the tools preferred.
