Heavy equipment operator • Delaware County, Iowa

Vacancy available: we are hiring a heavy equipment operator in Delaware County, Iowa. On the job you will handle: • Carry out daily pre-start checks on engine oil, coolant, hydraulic fluid and track tension • Top up diesel, inspect hydraulic hoses for leaks and report defects • Load trucks with spoil, aggregate and overburden using the bucket • Excavate trenches and foundations to the marked depths and grade levels • Level and grade the road sub-base to the surveyor's pegs and string lines You should have: • Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination • Knowledge of pre-start inspections and basic machine maintenance • Able to operate excavator, loader and dozer confidently At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
