Sheet metal welder — Luzerne County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a sheet metal welder in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania. You will be based at a busy fabrication workshop. Ideal candidate: • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols On the job you will handle: • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • Weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec Part-time with flexible hours.
