Cnc lathe setter • Ontonagon County, Michigan

Great opportunity: we are hiring a cnc lathe setter in Ontonagon County, Michigan. You will work at an auto-components manufacturing unit. Day to day you will set up workpieces in three-jaw chucks and collets; measure finished parts with micrometers and vernier calipers; adjust feeds and speeds to control the surface finish; run facing, turning, boring, grooving and threading cycles; top up coolant and clear swarf from the bed; change worn carbide inserts and monitor tool wear. What we are looking for: • Working knowledge of G-code and M-code • ITI / NCVT certificate in the machinist (turner) trade preferred Performance bonus on top of base pay.
