Now hiring: we are hiring a sausage maker in Yukon-Koyukuk Census Area, Alaska. On a typical shift you will run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone; weigh, price and label cuts for the display case; mince meat and prepare keema on the grinder; debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife; sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone; portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights. Ideal candidate: • Able to use a band saw, grinder and sausage filler • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
