TIG welder — Charles City County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a TIG welder in Charles City County, Virginia. The job is in a stainless steel kitchen-equipment unit. Day to day you will clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding; TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size; keep the arc length and travel speed consistent; weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through. Ideal candidate: • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. Rotating shifts. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Walk-in interviews this week.
