Crane rigger wanted in Northampton County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a crane rigger in Northampton County, Virginia. The role involves fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads; attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks; inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use; carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle; tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear; rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position. Requirements: • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
