Join our team: we are hiring a vacuum press operator in Union County, New Mexico. You will work in a tailoring workshop. On a typical shift you will fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press; remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron; give each garment a final press before packing; operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments; keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure; check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots. You should have: • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. $4,200 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
