Now hiring: we are hiring a construction labourer in Halifax County, North Carolina. The job is with a civil contractor. You should have: • Physically fit and comfortable working at height • Wear safety helmet, boots and gloves at all times Day-to-day duties: • Load and unload trucks of cement, steel bar and aggregate • Hand tools and materials up to workers on the upper floors • Backfill and ram down soil around the foundations • Wheel barrows of rubble to the skip and keep the site clean • Fix and strip shuttering and formwork for beams and columns Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
