Great opportunity: we are hiring a garment machinist in Duval County, Texas. You will work in a sampling and tailoring workshop. You should have: • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching Your main tasks: • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes • Sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required • Change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers We offer $3,000 per month plus benefits.
