Immediate opening: we are hiring a ladle pourer in Bradford, England. You will be based in the fettling and dressing shop. You will prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces. What we are looking for: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards 2+ years on the tools preferred.
