Urgent requirement: we are hiring a furniture maker in Fauquier County, Virginia. Ideal candidate: • Confident with hand and power tools such as saws, routers and planers • Own basic hand tools • Accurate to fine tolerances on finish work The role involves: • Install skirting boards, architraves and dado rails • Read and work from architectural drawings and cutting lists • Apply edge banding, veneers and laminate to board • Plane and sand timber to a smooth, square finish • Cut mortise-and-tenon and dovetail joints with chisels and a mallet • Cut sheet material and timber with a circular saw, jigsaw and table saw 3+ years on the tools preferred.
